Marriage Convalidation
2010 Dates

Sacramental Preparation for Marriage Convalidation is a Day of Retreat offered by the Catholic Church to prepare couples married civilly to now receive the Sacrament of Matrimony.  Couples already civilly married are not coming to the church for a “blessing” of their marriage… they are making a new “consent” in the sight of the Catholic Community to become a Sacrament of the Church.

The decision to be married in the Catholic Church means:

  • You are freely coming to the Church
  • You want God to be at the center of your Marriage
  • You as a couple desire the Sacrament of Matrimony—the living sign of God’s love
  • You want to make an ongoing lifetime commitment to each other, to God and to the Church community
  • You wish to receive the special graces that flow from your Sacramental relationship to strengthen  and guide you on your journey.

Presentations include:

  • The Sacrament of Matrimony: A sign of God’s Love and Grace, FOREVER.
  • Strengthening Couple Communication.
  • Married Intimacy:  Faithful and Holy.
  • Family Life Issues.
  • Married Spirituality & Prayer.

The Retreat begins at 8:15 a.m. and concludes at 4:00 p.m.

The Cost is $60 and includes program, materials, Continental Breakfast & Lunch for two, and Certificate of Participation.
